This wonderful picture was taken by the lovely Francis of aztek-tv.com at the FACTS convention in Ghent (11+12 october 2008)
I'm the Azula in the picture and Martijn, Meef's brother, is Phoenix King Ozai. His costume was made by Meef (who is the Ty Lee of the group). Credit for my costume goes to my friend Silvia. ^^ I was pleased to wear it. Will change the color of the blouse and baggy pants though (grayish red)
The red of Ozai's robe looks very good in this photo, which isn't the case with your costume, which is painfully red. It's likely because the photographer was shining large quantities of light at you, it looked alright under normal circumstances. It also seem to make the baggy part of the pants look too shiny, which I think it shouldn't.
Before others start whining at me for offering such criticisms, I actually had the pleasure to see these costumes in person, and they're awesome. This photo just puts them in another light, literally.
Also, it's only now that I notice the shoes. They must've been a pain to make, and perhaps to wear.
shame on me to never have left a comment !!! Azula's armor is a hard outfit to do, and you make some great work ! and the Phoenix Lord is really well done too ! it should have took him so much time to finish

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
